The Tarot of the NUR

The back card of the Major Arcana of the NUR Tarot

303

Since 2006 after the publication of my Liber Decatriarchia Mystica: Sketchings of the Thirteen Encompassing Spheres of the Tree of Reality and assorted material (Library of the Most Great Name: Gold Coast, 2006) I have been developing an alternate system of Tarot divination. The system is based on my own Kabbalah of the 13 spheres introduced in the 1st edition of that 2005 grimoire-book mentioned. It also includes material from my unpublished Liber Nomeni Angelis, esoteric Quranic symbolism, Shii hadith, Sufi literature as well as the entire mythopoeic legacy of ancient MENA.

Below is the Tree of Reality (13 spheres, 36 pathways) that is the veritable motor of this system of the NUR Tarot:

In other words, this is my attempt to restore the Perso-Arabic Kabbalah to its rightful place from which the Kabbalah of Judaism and the general Kabbalah of the West originally emerged. This Tarot system holds five suits: a Major Arcana of 28 cards, a Middle Arcana of 15 cards, and the minor arcana divided into Air, Fire, Water and earth (and in that specific order) with each elemental suit holding 13 cards rather than the original 10. This takes the number of total cards from 78 to 95. The Major Arcana cards are:
