Chapter of Splendor (sūrat’ul-bahāʾ)
3: Chapter of Splendor (sūrat’ul-bahāʾ)
In the Name of God the Ultimate Encircler, the Supreme Guide!
1. Ḥāʾ-Yāʾ God is the Splendor of the heavens and the earth! 2. The similitude of Its Splendor is like a letter underneath which is a point! 3. The point is as a resplendent mirror illuminating from the Sun of Pre-Eternity whose ray is neither of the north nor of the south! 4. The intensifying luminous scintillance of Its logoic-Words illumine in brightness by the celestial even though the fire of the infernal prisoner* touches it not! 5. Splendor upon Splendor; God guides to Its Splendor whomsoever It Wills and God upraises to Its Light whosoever It Desires! 6. There is no other god but It; verily, It is the Lord of All-Things; and of All-Things God is enlightened!
~ The Book of Guidance (kitāb al-hudāʾ), 2021, full English translation with commentary (tafsīr), forthcoming.
* The infernal prisoner is a reference to the founder of Bahā'ism whose reality is deemed infernal wherein for all of his grandiose claims, and especially given his pilfering of the title bahāʾ (splendor), to the true possessors of insight the combined corpus of his vain absurdities (wrongfully called writings) do not begin to touch the sublimity of a single letter of the writings of the Primal Point and His Mirror.
