Commentary on Qur'an 39:9
قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
Say, are they equal, those who know and those who know not? Only the possessors of the kernels (uwlū'l-albāb) are mindful! ~ Qur'an 39:9 (my trans.)
Commentary: while humanity is indeed created equal per 4:1; nevertheless humans are not equal in realization of the eternal verities from the point of view of Heaven. This means that while in seed all things are already-always equal, it is knowledge which both establishes and distinguishes superiority of one human over another as the final product, as it were. But what kind of knowledge is it that makes one human superior to another human? It is the gnosis (معرفة). And who other than the prophets, messengers, providential guides/vicegerents, i.e. the Points and Mirrors, and their true believer initiates possesses the acme of gnosis? None. As such those who do not possess the gnosis are not equal to the prophets, messengers, providential guides/vicegerents, Points and Mirrors and their true believer initiates. In fact those who do not know are the inferiors of those who do know; inasmuch as those who possess the kernels of understanding and insight (بصيرة) and can witness (مشاهدة) the balances (موازين) of the horizons (آفاق) and the souls (أنفس) attest to this truth (حقّ) regarding the superiority of the true gnostics from the locus of the tablets of their blaze-fluxes in the situs of the station of the Enumeration which is equivalent to Existence (الوجود).
O God, verily Thou hast distinguished between those who know and those who do not know in the horizons and in the souls of existence upon the Truth with the Truth written in the Perspicuous Book! There is no other god but Thee, glorified art Thou and sanctified art Thou, indeed I am among the Bayanīs!
اللهمّ انَكَ انتَ قد ميزت بين الّذين يعلمون والّذين لا يعلمون في الآفق و في أنفس الوجودية على الحقّ بِالحقّ مسطورًا في كتاب المبين لا إله إلّا أنتَ سبحانكَ وقدسانكَ إنّي كُنتُ مِن البيانيين
