A resolution to the problem of the Dome of the Rock/Temple of Solomon
It occurs to me that any conflict between Muslim and Jew over the Dome of the Rock can be resolved instantaneously if both sides would listen to the following resolution: The Golden Dome masjid, although originally built by the arch-covenant breaker of the dispensation of the Furqaan (i.e. Islam), does not need to be demolished by Jews in order to fulfill messianic prophecies. Jews can share the present structure with Muslims without the need to destroy anything because as the original Temple of Solomon was a cube, the present structure is a sphere. The symbolism of the cube within the sphere is none other than the basic geometry of Metatron's cube. In the Kabbalah, Metatron is the Supreme Archangel and Supreme Angelic manifestation of the Shekinah Who occurs in both the first and the last sphere of the Tree of Life. As the site in close proximity to where Muhammad's (ص) nocturnal journey and ascension to the 9th heaven occurred, the nexuses of symbolism and Harmonia Abrahamica here becomes deeply profound: the site of the mir'aj where the Messenger of God (ص) ascended to the celestial worlds and beheld the Face of the All-High "at two bows length or nearer" occurring in the closest proximity to the site of the geometric formulation of the Supreme angelic Manifestation of the Shekinah that is now as it was then the Temple of Solomon!
So why can't Jews establish a new Temple on the site of the last without having the present structure torn down, and why can't Muslims allow Jews to perform all the rites of the Temple of Solomon within the center of the Golden domed mosque while continuing to share the present structure with them? This way all are appeased and nothing presently existing needs to be done away with. But who will listen, let alone implement such a vision?

Actually, it began as being the house or temple of worship to EL YHWH or Eloah. The word Allah in Arabic is a cognate from the Hebrew Eloah which in Aramaic becomes Alaha and in Arabic Allah. Eloah btw is the feminine form of the masculine El. Be that as it may, unlike the Sunnis (a fact that the mullahs of Iran and Iraq often do not mention for political reasons of expediency) the Shi'i hadith from the Infallibles (ع) have been clear that the al-Quds the Prophet (ص) launched into the celestial worlds from was not the physical, geographic Jerusalem. Furthermore, that mosque was originally built by Umar ibn al-Khattab (ل), the 2nd caliph, the arch-enemy of 'Ali and Fatima (ع), who along with Abu Bakr (ل) stole the exoteric caliphate, robbed the Prophet's (ص) designated successor of His right and the Daughter of Her's, and who was responsible for the injuries sustained that led to the death of al-Zahra' (ع). Sure, the Shi'ite Fatimids of Cairo later partially tore down and rebuilt that Golden domed mosque Umar (ل) originally built. In fact, the Golden Dome itself was the original installation of the Fatimids. But the fact is that that mosque as an actual holy site possesses no true legitimacy from the perspective of heaven. In other words, it has always been a decoy for the real al-Quds which is beyond this world.
