NIAC is running interference for the IRI

Iranians and whoever is supporting the Iranian people in their Revolution against Islamist patriarchy and the mullah's regime should be extremely weary of the lobby group NIAC (National Iranian-American Council) and any individuals remotely associated with it. This organization is an ad hoc lobby organization connected to the reformists of the Islamic Republic of Iran who have spent the past 20 years whitewashing the crimes of the IRI and so keeping the IRI in power. NIAC appears to enjoy support from dubious individuals within the Anglo-American Ivory Tower, one of whom was unmasked as an advisor to the CIA by Counterpunch in 2011.
Contrary to perceptions, a significant portion of the Anglo-American establishment wishes to keep the mullahs in power because of the justification it provides Empire in maintaining its presence in the region perpetually and dominating energy markets against the better interests of the people of the region. Although the Shah's regime was a corrupt, comprador petro-dollar regime, during the final decade of the Shah's rule there were concerted efforts by the Iranian government of the time to empower OPEC countries as a single bloc against the petro-domination of the West. The outcome of that effort led to the toppling of the Shah's regime, which some have convincingly argued was actually a regime change operation masterminded by Western oil companies and the Anglo-European governments in their pockets to break any serious challenge to their domination. The consequence of that effort led to the rise of Islamic fundamentalism throughout the region and the world; the collapse of the USSR; the rise of the Taliban, al-Qaeda, ISIS, ad nauseum.
Contrary to perceptions, NIAC and its assorted mouthpieces on and offline are presently running an active interference campaign on behalf of the Islamic Republic and its interests because should the regime collapse, which is looking more and more likely (esp. if the rumor saying Khamenei has died are proven true), the financial and geopolitical interests of the Western corporatocracy with its cynical status quo could be significantly upset.
As such this makes NIAC and its representatives nothing more and nothing less than traitors to the Iranian people and faux-liberal gatekeepers for the mullahs and the Western corporatocracy both.
