Fatwa (17 December 2023 CE)
786/303
Here is what Allah (awj) says in a ḥadīth qudsī about Her:
O Aḥmad! Were it not for you, I would not have created the universe; and were
it not for ʿAlī, I would not have created you; and were it not for Fāṭima, I
would not have created either of you!

Be that as it may, we also have to acknowledge something important here which
many Muslims usually don't; and that is, that when we say She is the Mistress
of the women of the worlds (سيّدة
النساء العالمين), we must also acknowledge that every woman on earth who
somehow walks in Her path - whether it be among the least or among the most -
is a reflection of Her or a reflection of Her Light since whenever we say that
She is the Mistress of the women of the worlds (سيّدة النساء العالمين) we are saying that She is their leader in
this world and the next. Yet this knowledge is not regularly applied in the
Muslim world, including among many Shi'a, and the women are treated badly and
with disrespect and even, astaghfirullāh, violence, esp. by religious and political
leaders together with their followers.
In my Book, such people who say one thing and then do another where the women
are concerned are all hypocrites (منافقين)
and even outright infidels (كفّار)
and corrupters of the earth (مفسدين
في الأرض). I include especially among their ranks the current leadership
of the Islamic Republic of Iran which I have formally passed a fatwa against as
of last year during the #Woman_Life_Freedom
uprising.
So, if we are to be consistent in the eyes of heaven and earth, we must apply
this wisdom about the supreme station of Fāṭima (ع) on a practical level as well - and
universally. This means we must see Her Light, in varying degrees, reflected in
the face of every woman on earth. We must behold Fāṭima (ع) in our mothers, our
daughters, our wives, our sisters, our lovers, our female coworkers, even
random women on the street, etc. This is also especially the case because as
the Book says:
Wherever ye turn is the Face of God ~ Qur'an 2:115
فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا۟ فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ
ٱللَّهِ
and
There is no god but God! All things perish but Its Face ~ 28:88
لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ
هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُۥ
And in my Book Fāṭima (ع)
is the Face of God Itself, hence the formula of the Fāṭimiya shahāda:
There is no god but God! Fāṭima is the Face of God!
لا إله إلّا الله فاطمة وجه الله
This is also why it is necessary for a complete and total overhaul of attitudes
and even structures in the Muslim world and among Muslim communities everywhere
to occur. The misogyny and patriarchy must permanently stop, once and for all!
To those few being spoken to at this time, this is also among those things that
the Ḥujjat is unequivocally demanding of the Muslims: that they change their
attitudes and practices towards women completely! After all, in its own
context, wasn't this also what the Prophet (ص) Himself did in Mecca by putting a stop to
the pagan misogyny of the jāhilīya Arabs who would prefer boys over girls and
treat women as little more than chattel, burying newborn baby girls alive and
engaging in female infanticide as a cultural practice? Perhaps the lingering
patriarchy and misogyny in the Muslim world is actually the lingering effects
of this pagan jāhilīya and not the True Path.
This is my fatwa on the matter!
