A short prayer for purposes of istikhāra/bibliomancy

 

O God, I am making bibliomancy with Thy Book and I am placing my trust in Thee with Thy vast knowledge! So show me from Thy Book what is hidden in it of Thy concealed mystery within Thy occulted treasure-house! O God! O Knower! O Wise! O All-Penetrating! God guides to the Truth!

 

اَللّهُمَّ اِنّي تَفَأَّلْتُ بِکِتابِکَ وَتَوَکَّلْتُ عَلَیْکَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَاسَعَةِ فَاَرِني مِنْ کِتابِکَ ما هُوَ مَکْتُومٌ مِنْ سِرِّکَ الْمَکْنُونِ فـي غَیْبِـکَ المَخْزُونِ يَا اللهُ يَا عَلِيمُ يَا حَكيمُ يَا نَفِيذُ، يَهْدِي الله إِلى الحَقّ
