The Verse of Light (آية النُّور) from the Persian Bayān Gate 17, Unity 15

 

 

In the Name of God the Glorified, the Holy!

God testifies that verily there is no other god but It! To It belongs the Dominion of the Names and to It belongs the Empyreans of Supreme Strength! It enlivens and It makes to die then It makes to die and enlivens; and, indeed, It is the Uniquely Living Pre-Eternal Who dieth not! In Its grasp are the essences of the existence of All-Things! It fashions what It wills by Its Cause-Command ‘Be and it is,’ and, truly, It is encompassing over all things by Its Singular Living Light!   

 

 

بِسْمِ اللهِ السُّبُّوحِ القُدُوس

شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَهُ الْمَلَكُوتُ الْأَسْمَاءِ وَلَهُ الْجَبَرُوتُ الْأَقْوَىِ يُحْيِّي وَيُمِيتُ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُ وَيُحْيِّي وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ وَحِيدُ الْحَيِّ الْأَزِلِ لَا يَمُوتُ فِي قَبْضَتِهِ عَيَانُ وَجُودِ كُلِّشَيْءِ يَجْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ بِأَمْرِهِ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّشَيْءٍ مُحِيطًا بِنُورِهِ

وَاحِدًا حَيًّا
