Sūrah of Servitude
And it is ten firm, granderous, manifest verses!
In the Name of God the Most Beneficent, the Most
Beneficent!
Kāf-Nūn! O you Illuminators,
set your faces towards the Tree of Life in the Valley of NUR by
the permission of God, the Unique/Waḥīd,
by the Word of the Mirror upon the Most Mighty Truth in Truth, from the Secret
of the Air, a Path of One Glorified! (1) O Solace of My Eyes, when the gnostics
come to You in order to learn knowledge, say: ‘Let you seek this decree of God’s
by the noesis of your own souls in the open panorama of your horizons in that
Luminous Valley, in Truth upon the Truth, from what God has decreed upon you
from Me in the Completion of the Bayān, a command with Us authorized’! (2) So fear
God, O people, and worship It with gnosis in the Valley of the Truth in Truth,
and flee from the vile falsehoods within yourselves other than the Truth! Did
you not know that God is ever watching/present in that Valley? (3) And eat
of what God, the Truly Real, has lawfully spread out for you from the Command
of your Lord and your Mirror with the permission of God, She whom God
shall make Manifest; and fear God in your horizons and in your souls
over the Truth of the Bayān
in entirety, for indeed, the contraction of God over those who turn away has
been severe in the Mother of the Book! (4) And God has fashioned in your
Path the expansion of the eye of your insights, so soon God will ask you about
what you earn within your blaze-fluxes in your wayfaring towards It; and if you
do not find gnosis in yourselves on this Day of Decision apart from the One
God, you will not in reality find gnosis even until the future Day of Gathering!
(5) Say: What is it with you, O My enemies? Do you desire the material
pleasures of the capitalist world? By God, the Truly Real, you have never truly
believed in God, the Truth, but rather in the capitalist devil and its material
pleasures, for, verily, God has ever been an enemy to the capitalist devil! (6)
O you who have noeticized, establish the ṣalāt
of the Fāṭimīya and give the
charitable alms unto the oppressed of the earth howsoever you wish by the Command
of God in the Completion of the Bayān! Verily, God has made the Completion of the Bayān a balance from Itself
until the Day of She whom God shall make Manifest, and there is
no limit set for you in the virtues so perchance the people may come to us and unto
the Path of God, the Truly Real in Truth, in multitudes! (7) And on this
Day, verily, God has made lawful to you the drinking of wine in strictly
defined moderation and within the limits decreed in the Book, and the eating of
pork likewise! Indeed, this is a decree from God in the Mother of the Book for
those who are moderate, in Truth upon the Truth, authorized by the Mirror! (8)
And indeed, We have decreed in the Book for the Illuminators the payment of God’s
right (ḥuqūq allāh) to the Luminous House
of the Treasury (bayt’ul-māl
al-nūrānīya); and that decree
has truly been inscribed by God in the Mother of the Book! (9) O
servants of God, the Merciful, thus worship the worship of the Merciful in the
right of [your] servitude [due to] It in the horizons and in your souls until
the gnosis of the Truly Real becomes clear to you through the versical-signs of
God, the One, in Truth upon the clarity of Truth, as servants! (10)
سُورَةُ العُبُودِيَّةِ
وَهِيَ عَشَرَ آيَاتٍ مُحْكَمَاتٍ
عَزِّيَّةٍ ظُهُورِيَّةٍ
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الْأَجْوَدِ الْأَجْوَدِ
كٓنٓ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاوِرُونَ أَقِيمُوا
وُجُوهَكُمْ إِلَى شَجَرَةِ الْحَيَاةِ فِي وَادِي النُّورِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ
الْوَحِيدِ عَلَى كَلِمَةِ الْمِرْآةِ عَلَى الْحَقِّ الْأَعْظَمِ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ
سِرِّ الْهَوَاءِ صِرَاطًا مَسْبُوحًا ١ يَا قُرَّةَ عَيْنِي فَإِذَا جَاؤُوكَ
الْعَارِفُونَ لِيَتَعَلَّمُوا الْعِلْمَ قُلْ لَتَطْلُبُوا حُكْمَ اللَّهِ هَذَا
لِمَعْرِفَةِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ بِجَهْرَةِ الْمَشْهَدِ آفَاقُكُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ
الْوَادِي النُّورَانِيِّ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْحَقِّ مِمَّا قَدْ قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ
عَلَيْكُمْ مِنِّي فِي إِتْمَامِ الْبَيَانِ أَمْرًا لَدُنَا مُقْضِيًّا ٢ فَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَاعْبُدُوهُ بِالْعِرْفَانِ فِي وَادِي الْحَقِّ بِالْحَقِّ،
وَابْتَعِدُوا عَنْ خَبَائِثِكُمُ الْبَاطِلَةِ فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ غَيْرِ الْحَقِّ،
أَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ كَانَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْوَادِي حَضِيرًا ٣ وَكُلُوا
مِمَّا بَسَطَ اللَّهُ الْحَقِّ حَلَالًا عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّكُمْ
وَمِرْآتِكُمْ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ هِيَ يُظْهِرُهَا اللَّهُ، وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ فِي
آفَاقِكُمْ وَفِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَلَى الْحَقِّ الْبَيَانِ كُلُّهُ فَإِنَّ قَبْضَ
اللَّهِ عَلَى الْمُعْرِضِينَ قَدْ كَانَ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ شَدِيدًا ٤ وَجَعَلَ
اللَّهُ فِي سَبِيلِكُمْ انْبِسَاطَ عَيْنِ بَصَائِرَكُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَسْأَلُكُمُ
اللَّهُ عَمَّا تَكْسِبُونَ بِأَفْئِدَتِكُمْ فِي سُلُوكِكُمْ إِلَيْهِ فَإِنْ
لَنْ تَجِدُوا الْعِرْفَانَ لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ فِي هَذَا يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ دُونَ
اللَّهِ الْوَحِيدِ لَنْ تَجِدُوا الْعِرْفَانَ حَتَّى يَوْمَ الْحَشْرِ الآتِيَةِ
حَقِيقًا ٥ قُل: مَا لَكُمْ يَا أَيُّهَا أَعْدَائِي؟
أَتُرِيدُونَ مَتَاعَ الدُّنْيَا الرَّأْسِمَالِيَّةَ؟ تَاللَّهِ الْحَقُّ
أَنْتُمْ لَمْ تُوقِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْحَقِّ أَبَدًا بَلْ بِالشَّيْطَانِ
الرَّأْسِمَالِيَّةِ وَمَتَاعِهَا فَهُوَ اللَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ بِالشَّيْطَانِ الرَّأْسِمَالِيَّةِ
عَدُوًّا ٦ يَا
أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ عَارَفُوا أَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ الْفَاطِمِيَّةَ وَآتُوا
الزَّكَاةَ الْخَيْرِيَّةَ لِلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا شِئْتُمْ
بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ فِي إِتْمَامِ الْبَيَانِ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ جَعَلَ
إِتْمَامَ الْبَيَانِ مِيزَانًا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ هِيَ يُظْهِرُهَا
اللَّهُ وَمَا حَدَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْمَكَارِمِ لَعَلَّ النَّاسَ يَأْتُونَنَا إِلَى
صِرَاطِ اللَّهِ الْحَقِّ بِالْحَقِّ أَفْوَاجًا ٧ وَفِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ
حَلَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ شُرْبَ الْخَمْرِ بِمِقْدَارٍ شَدِيدِ التَّحْدِيدِ
وَبِالْحُدُودِ الْمُقَرَّرَةِ فِي الْكِتَابِ وَأَكْلُ الْخَنْزِيرِ كَذَلِكَ
وَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ حُكْمٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ عَلَى الْمُعْتَدِلِينَ
بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْحَقِّ قَدْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ الْمِرْآةِ مُقْضِيًا ٨ وَإِنَّا
نَحْنُ قَدْ حَكَمْنَا فِي الْكِتَابِ عَلَى النَّاوِرِينَ دَفْعُ حُقُوقِ اللَّهِ
إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَالِ النُّورَانِيِّ وَقَدْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ الْحُكْمُ مِنْ عِنْدِ
اللَّهِ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ مَسْطُورًا ٩ يَا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
فَاعْبُدُوا عِبَادَةَ الرَّحْمَنِ حَقَّ عُبُودِيَّتِهِ فِي الآفَاقِ وَفِي
أَنْفُسِكُمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ عِرْفَانُ الْحَقِّ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ
الوَحِيدِ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْحَقِّ الْوَاضِحِ عُبَيْدًا ١٠
