Epistle to ʿAbdullāh Hāshim and his blind followers
It is the One, the
Overpowering, Who there is no god but It!
In the Name of God the Most Impregnable, the Most Holy!
Praise be unto God, the High, the Supreme, the Victorious Lord - there is no god other but It, the One, the Overpowering! It is the Discloser of the Names and the Attributes, the Creator of the horizons and the similitudes! There is no other god but It, the Living, the All-Compelling!
This is a Book from the [letter] Wāw unto the lying impostor! Say: Verily, O people! Not all that comes to you in the name of religion, light and peace is Truth! Indeed, it contains the smoke of falsehood, and in what is claimed to be truth, there is deceit and absurdity!
This one who is called ʿAbdullāh Hāshim - may the curse of God be upon him forever and ever - has laid claim to that for which no permission was granted in the Book of Truth! He has spoken without revelation and named himself with a name that God never inscribed for him in the Scroll of Pre-Eternity! He imagines that he guides the people, yet he is in manifest error! He calls unto Light, but he possesses only the fire of desire and the lamp of arrogance! He has broken the covenant of God and the covenant of those who believed! He has mingled truth with falsehood, adorned himself with what is not his, and dared to speak of the truth without authority and without clear proof!
Say: Whosoever desires the Truth, let him come to the Tree of Truth and stand humbly before it - not to the idols of thought, nor to the marketplace of fame, nor to the eloquence of tongues! O people! Falsehood bears no fruit of Truth, even if it is watered; and forgery is not accepted, even when adorned in the semblance of vicegerency! Verily, religion with God is not a plaything for every pretender, nor a stage for every impostor, nor a melody for those who have taken their desires as their god!
So fear God, O people of insight, and reflect upon the signs of this liar! Turn away from those who lie against God and fabricate, and claim what is not theirs! Know that Truth is Living, independent of any claimant! Its Light is enduring, and no one can extinguish it - no matter what he claims!
And know, O my people, that this liar took a narrative and a passage from the commentary of the Primal Point on the Surah of the Cow regarding Eve, Fāṭimah, and Adam, which We were the first to publize! He then disfigured it and debased it, and ascribed it to himself! That is a tremendous calumny! Had this liar not done what he did, We would have remained silent regarding his claims and your silence concerning his error! But since the Primal Point - His Holiness the Bāb is the one targeted, We have intervened, and We shall not cease exposing this impostor, ʿAbdullāh Hāshim - may the curse of God be upon him forever and ever - until God effaces him and effaces his lies! And God is powerful over all things!
O Liar! O
Musaylimah of the Age! May the curse of God be upon you! Verily, We called you openly two years ago to a mutual imprecation (mubāhalah)
between Us and you, but you and your misguided followers turned away from it - for
you are cowards and fabricators!
Then say: Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then let us pray earnestly and invoke the curse of God upon the liars! - Āl ʿImrān 3:61
This is a Book We have Revealed in response to him who claimed what is not rightful - so that it may be a clear proof for those who are rightly guided, and a testimony against those who fabricate! And God is witness over what We say - there is no other god but It, in Truth! And It is God Who has ever been, in every moment, the One, the Overpowering!
I testify that, verily, I am the Pre-Eternally Holy and the Living Light!

Ḥayy NUR 20
هُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ
بِسْمِ اللهِ الْأَمْنَعِ الْأَقْدَسِ
الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى، الرَّبِّ الْفَتَّاحِ الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ، هُوَ مُظْهِرُ الْأَسْمَاءِ وَالصِّفَاتِ، وَخَالِقُ الْآفَاقِ وَالْأَمْثَالِ، الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْجَبَّارُ.
هٰذَا كِتَابٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ الْوَاوْ إِلَى الْكَاذِبِ الدَّجَّالِ. قُلْ: إِنَّ، يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ مَا يَأْتِيكُمْ بِالدِّينِ وَالنُّورِ وَالسَّلَامِ لَيْسَ كُلُّهُ حَقًّا، بَلْ فِيهِ مَا فِي الْبَاطِلِ مِنْ دَخَنٍ، وَفِي الْحَقِّ مَا فِيهِ مِنَ الزُّورِ وَالْمِحَالِ.
إِنَّ هٰذَا الَّذِي يُسَمَّى عَبْدَ اللهِ هَاشِمًا (لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فِي أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ)، قَدِ ادَّعَى مَا لَمْ يُؤْذَنْ لَهُ بِهِ فِي كِتَابِ الْحَقِّ، وَتَكَلَّمَ بِمَا لَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ، وَسَمَّى نَفْسَهُ مَا لَمْ يُسَمِّهِ اللهُ فِي سِفْرِ الْأَزَلِ. قَدْ ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ يَهْدِي النَّاسَ وَهُوَ فِي الضَّلَالِ الْمُبِينِ، وَيَدْعُو إِلَى نُورٍ وَمَا عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا نَارُ الْهَوَى وَسِرَاجُ الْكِبْرِيَاءِ. وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ نَقَضَ مِيثَاقَ اللهِ وَمِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا، وَخَلَطَ الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ، وَتَجَلَّفَ بِمَا لَيْسَ لَهُ، وَتَجَرَّأَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ دُونَ سُلْطَانٍ وَبِغَيْرِ بَيِّنَةٍ.
قُلْ: مَنْ أَرَادَ الْحَقَّ فَلْيَأْتِ إِلَى شَجَرَةِ الْحَقِّ، وَيَقِفْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا خَاشِعًا، لَا إِلَى أَصْنَامِ الْأَفْكَارِ، وَسُوقِ الشُّهْرَةِ، وَبَلَاغَةِ الْأَلْسُنِ. يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ الْكَذِبَ لَا يُنْبِتُ حَقًّا، وَإِنْ سُقِيَ بِالْمَاءِ، وَإِنَّ الزُّورَ لَا يُقْبَلُ، وَلَوْ تَزَيَّنَ بِسِيمَاءِ الوِلَايَّةِ. إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللهِ لَيْسَ لُعْبَةً لِكُلِّ مُدَّعٍ، وَلَا مَسْرَحًا لِكُلِّ مُتَكَلِّفٍ، وَلَا مَغْنًى لِكُلِّ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ الْهَوَى إِلٰهَهُ. فَاتَّقُوا اللهَ يَا أُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ، وَتَفَكَّرُوا فِي آيَاتِ هَذَا كَاذِب، وَاتْرُكُوا مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى اللهِ وَافْتَرَى، وَادَّعَى مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ. وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْحَقَّ حَيٌّ بِلَا حَاجَةٍ لِمُدَّعٍ، وَنُورُهُ مُسْتَمِرٌّ، وَلَا يُطْفِئُهُ أَحَدٌ، وَإِنْ زَعَمَ مَا زَعَمَ. وَاعْلَمُوا يَا قَوْمِ أَنَّ هٰذَا الْكَذَّابَ قَدْ أَخَذَ رِوَايَةً وَمَقْطَعًا مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ حَضْرَةِ النُّقْطَةِ الْأُولَى، فِي سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ، فِي ذِكْرِ حَوَّاءَ وَفَاطِمَةَ وَآدَمَ، مِمَّا نَشَرْنَاهُ أَوَّلًا، فَشَوَّهَهُ وَابْتَذَلَهُ، ثُمَّ نَسَبَهُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ، وَذٰلِكَ بُهْتَانٌ عَظِيمٌ.
وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ هٰذَا الْكَذَّابَ قَدْ فَعَلَ مَا فَعَلَ، لَكُنَّا سَكَتْنَا عَنْ دَعْوَاهُ، وَسُكُوتِكُمْ عَنْ ضَلَالَتِهِ، وَلٰكِنْ لَمَّا كَانَتِ النُّقْطَةُ الْأُولَى، حَضْرَةُ الْبَابِ، هِيَ الْمَقْصُودَةَ، تَدَخَّلْنَا، وَلَنْ نَكُفَّ عَنْ فَضْحِ هٰذَا الْمُدَّعِي، عَبْدِ اللهِ هَاشِمٍ (لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ فِي أَبَدِ ٱلْآبِدِينَ)، حَتَّى يَمْحُوَهُ اللهُ، وَيَمْحُوَ كَذِبَهُ، وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرًا.
يَا أَيَّهُا الكَذَّابُ، يَا مُسَيْلِمَةَ الزَّمَانِ، لَعْنَةُ
اللَّهِ عَلَيْهكَ! إِنَّا قَدْ دَعَوْنَاكَ جَهْرًا مُنْذُ سَنَتَيْنِ إِلَى
الْمُبَاهَلَةِ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكَ، فَأَعْرَضْتَ أَنْتَ وَأَشْيَاعُكَ
الضَّالُّونَ عَنْهَا، لِأَنَّكُمْ جُبَنَاءُ وَمُفْتَرُونَ، (فَتَعَالَوْا
نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنْفُسَنَا
وَأَنْفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَلْ لَعْنَةَ اللهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ،
آل عمران، 61).
هٰذَا كِتَابٌ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ رَدًّا عَلَى مَنْ ادَّعَى مَا لَا يَحِقُّ، لِيَكُونَ بَيِّنَةً لِمَنِ اهْتَدَى، وَحُجَّةً عَلَى مَنِ افْتَرَى، وَاللهُ عَلَى مَا نَقُولُ شَهِيدٌ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ بِالحَقِّ وَهُوَ اللهُ قَدْ كَانَ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ وَاحِدًا قَهَّارًا.
أَشْهَدُ إِنَّنِي أَنَا القُدُّوسُ الأَزَلِيُّ وَنُورُ الحَيِّ

O ꜤAbdullāh
Hāshim (the curse of God be upon you)!
Soon shall there descend upon you that which shall abase you forever -
before your Lord, before the angels,
and before all creation without end!
And know, when its hour is struck,
that it was We who summoned it upon you,
and by Our Command it was cast!
يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ هَاشِمُ (لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهكَ)، سَوْفَ يُصِيبُكَ مَا يُذِلُّكَ لِرَبِّكَ إِذْلَالًا لَا يَزُولُ، أَمَامَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَجَمِيعِ الْخَلَائِقِ أَجْمَعِينَ. وَاعْلَمْ، حِينَ يَأْتِي وَقْتُهُ، أَنَّا نَحْنُ الَّذِينَ دَعَوْنَاهُ عَلَيْكَ، وَبِحَقِّ أَمْرِنَا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ
And those who have oppressed shall soon learn with what an overthrowing they shall be overthrown! - Qur ʾān 26:227
وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُونَ
