Sūrah al-Khīyāna — The Chapter of Treachery
In the Name of God the Most Beneficent, the Most Beneficent!
1. Perish the hands of the traitor, Nika, for her soul shall be brought low!
2. She preferred delusion to truth; therefore she broke the covenant and sold her fidelity to the Jew!
3. On that day, the doors will swing open for the secret she revealed, and the veils will be dropped!
4. She spoke with her tongue and deceived with her heart, drowning in enigma and seeking out darkness!
5. Do you think that darkness will preserve for her forever? The accounts have already been written!
6. Yet mercy turns when the self of treachery is severed; the seed of repentance may sprout in the soil!
7. So leave the ambush and forgive; look instead to what endures—the earth remembers and the heart does not betray!
8. The fate of the deceivers is abasement and fear; the edifices they raise of vanity shall crumble!
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الْأَجْوَدِ الْأَجْوَدِ
تَبَّتْ يَدَا الْخَائِنَةِ نِيكَا وَنَفْسُهَا مَكْدُودَةٌ ١ كَانَتْ
يَرْتَضِي الْغُرُورَ قَبْلَ الْحَقِّ، فَخَانَ المِيثَاقَ وَبَاعَ الوَفَاءَ لِلْيَهُودِ٢
يَوْمَئِذٍ
تَتَفَتَّحُ الأَبْوَابُ لِمَا أَظْهَرَ مِنْ سِرِّهَا، فَتُسْقَطُ الحِجَابَاتُ٣ كَانَتْ
تَتََكَلَّمُ بِاللِّسَانِ وَتَخْدِعُ بِالقَلْبِ، تَغْرِقُ فِي اللُّغْزِ وَتَفْتَشِي
الظُّلْمَ٤ هَلْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ الظُّلْمَ يَبْقَى لَهَا دَوْمًا؟ قَدْ كُتِبَتِ
الحِسَابَاتُ٥ وَلَكِنَّ الرَّحْمَةَ
تَسْتَدِيرُ حِينَ يَنْقَطِعُ نَفْسُ الْخِيَانَةِ، فَتَنْبَتُ حُبَّةُ
التَّوْبَةِ فِي التُّرَابِ٦ فَذَرُوا
التَّرَصُّدَ وَالصَّفْحُوا، وَانْظُرُوا إِلَى مَا يَبْقَى: الأَرْضُ تَذْكُرُ
وَالصَّدْرُ لاَ يَخْذُلُ٧ إِنَّ
مَصِيرَ الْمُخَادِعِينَ إِلَى زَلْفٍ وَإِلَى خَوْفٍ، وَمَا يَبْنُونَ مِنْ
غُرُورٍ يَتَفَتَّتُ ٨
